Mega Millions jackpot nears $1 billion without winner.

The winning numbers that were drawn — white balls 25, 29, 33, 41, and 44, plus the gold Mega Ball 18 — indicate that the estimated prize for the next drawing

which will take place this Friday evening, has increased to an estimated $940 million, or a lump sum cash option of $483.5 million.

There have been only three jackpots greater than Friday's projected amount," Mega Millions said in a statement revealing that no one has won the jackpot.

"On October 23, 2018, a single ticket in South Carolina earned $1.537 billion, which is the Mega Millions record."

A $1.05 billion reward was won in Michigan on January 22, 2021, two years ago, while a $1.337 billion jackpot was won in Illinois in July of last year.

Since October 14, there have been 23 consecutive draws without a Mega Millions jackpot winner.

Mega Millions said that 68 tickets nationwide matched four white balls and the Mega Ball to win the third-tier jackpot.

"Each of these twelve tickets is worth $40,000 due to the inclusion of the optional Megaplier. The remaining 56 winning tickets are each valued $10,000."

In 2022, six Mega Millions jackpots were awarded, ranging from $20 million in Tennessee to $1,337.2 billion in Illinois.

The most recent prize, given in October, was $502 million, which was split between winning tickets from California and Florida.
